Set of custom made replacement metal swirl flap rods and new bushings for the intake manifolds on the 2010+ Sprinter Van and all Mercedes models with the 3.0L Mercedes V6 diesel engine, code OM642. The swirl flaps are located inside the intake manifolds and are conencted to the swirl flap motor through a plastic linkage.
When the flaps inside the intake manifold become clogged with soot from the EGR they can locked in place. This causes the linkage to jam. When the swirl flap motor tries to move the jammed linkage the rods break.
