M32 / M20 GEAR END CASE & BEARING UPGRADE KIT 3 x 62mm UPRATED BEARING. This kit is an upgrade for early M32 gearboxes to replace the three bearings most prone to failure. This kit is an upgrade for M32 / M20 transmissions manufactured before 2011 by replacing the 3 most failure-prone bearings. This kit is also a direct replacement for the backshell and bearings for M32 / M20 gearboxes manufactured after 2011.
Early M32 gearboxes had housing bearings with an outside diameter of 55 mm. The latest redesigned gearbox with 62mm bearings was installed in all vehicles built from 2011 onwards to prevent the usual bearing failure. This kit contains the following parts. 1 x late rear stern / backshell 55575542 oem.
2 x upper main shaft with enhanced performance SNR EC42229 / EC41767 tapered roller bearings, dimensions 25 mm x 62 mm x 17.5 mm. 1 x upper input shaft with enhanced performance SNR EC43082 / EC42229 tapered roller bearing, dimensions 28 mm x 62 mm x 17.5 mm. 3 x washers 0.80mm oem (a set of larger washers is needed for correct adjustment, we supply two different sizes to choose from). 3 x shims 0.90mm oem (a set of larger shims is required for the correct setting, we supply two different sizes to choose from). Bearing kit is for Alfa Romeo and Vauxhall.
